Description

A Soft shackle is a Dyneema loop used for temporary attachments of lines, blocks and more. 

Compared to corresponding steel shackle, a soft shackle has 10 times higher strength/weight ratio. 

  • Low weight. ompared to corresponding steel shackle, a soft shackle has 10 times higher strength/weight ratio.
  • No chafe on gelcoat or any other part of the boat
  • Quick assembly 
  • No rattling - no noise

Typical applications:

  • Attachment of jib/genoa sheets to the clew
  • Attachment of furling jib to lower swivel and halyard swivel
  • Attachment of tack line for asymmetric spinnaker

Hint - check for possible damages to the Dyneema loop on regular basis.
