Shipping Policy

At Selden Mast USA, we strive to provide efficient, reliable shipping for all our customers across the contiguous USA and Canada. Below is an overview of our shipping policy, including processing times, shipping methods, costs, and international considerations.

1. Order Processing

Processing Time

All orders are processed within 1-2 business days. Orders placed on weekends or public holidays will be processed the following business day.

Backorders & Delays

If any item is on backorder or delayed, we will notify you via email or phone with an estimated shipping date. You may choose to wait for the item or cancel the order for a full refund.

2. Shipping Areas

We currently ship to addresses within the contiguous United States and to Canada. All orders, including orders shipped to Canada, are shipped from Selden Mast Inc, USA.

USA Standard Shipping (1-10 business days)

Most orders within the contiguous USA are shipped via ground service and delivered within an estimated 1-10 business days. Estimated transit times:

  • South Carolina - 1-3 business days
  • South East - 2-5 business days
  • East Coast - 3-6 business days
  • Midwest - 3-8 business days
  • West Coast - 5-10 business days

Canada Standard Shipping (estimated 1-15 business days)

Orders shipped to Canada are delivered via our standard shipping service for an estimated 1-15 business days from the date of shipment. Delivery times may vary depending on the destination province, customs processing, and carrier conditions.

3. Shipping Costs

USA Flat Rate Shipping

Orders shipped within the contiguous USA under $99.00 ship for a flat rate of $15 using our 'Standard Shipping' shipping method.

USA Free Shipping

Orders shipped within the contiguous USA over $99.00 qualify for free standard ground shipping. Note: this offer excludes oversized or specialty items, which may incur additional shipping fees, and does not apply to orders shipped to Canada.

Canada Shipping Rates

Shipping to Canada is calculated at checkout and is not included in any free shipping offer. Current standard rates are as follows:

  • Standard Shipping to Canada: CAD 36.00, estimated delivery 1-15 business days
  • Oversized Items to Canada: CAD 432.00, estimated delivery 1-15 business days

Shipping costs and estimated delivery times are displayed at checkout and may be updated from time to time.

Oversized/Heavy Items

For oversized or heavy products (for example, spinnaker poles, gennaker bowsprits, larger Rodkickers, tracks, and other larger items), additional shipping charges may apply for both USA and Canada orders. These fees will be calculated and displayed at checkout.

4. Shipping Restrictions

United States

Within the United States, we ship to addresses in the contiguous USA only. We do not currently ship to Alaska, Hawaii, or U.S. territories.

Canada

We ship to Canadian provinces from Selden Mast Inc, USA. We do not currently ship to the Northwest Territories, Nunavut, or Yukon. Orders to Canada are placed through this website in English; we do not currently offer French-language store pages or policies.

PO Boxes & APO/FPO Addresses

We do not ship to P.O. Boxes or APO/FPO addresses at this time. This restriction applies to both USA and Canada orders.

Other International Orders

At this time, we accept online orders for shipment within the contiguous USA and Canada only. We do not accept online orders for shipment to any other country. Visitors located outside the USA and Canada can view products on this site, but online purchases are limited to USA and Canada addresses. If you are located outside the USA or Canada and wish to place an order, please contact your local reseller for assistance (see this link).

5. Customs, Duties, and Import Charges for Canada

Orders shipped to Canada may be subject to customs duties, GST/HST, provincial sales taxes, customs brokerage fees, carrier fees, and other import-related charges imposed by Canadian authorities, customs brokers, or carriers. These charges are determined by Canadian customs authorities at the time of import and are not included in the product price or in the shipping cost paid at checkout.

By placing an order for shipment to Canada, the customer agrees to act as the importer of record and is solely responsible for paying all applicable duties, taxes, and import-related fees directly to the relevant authority, carrier, or customs broker.

Selden Mast USA is not responsible for customs delays, customs brokerage delays, unpaid import charges, shipments refused or returned due to non-payment of import charges, or any additional costs charged by Canadian customs authorities, carriers, or customs brokers. We recommend that Canadian customers familiarize themselves with estimated import costs before placing an order.

If a shipment to Canada is refused or abandoned at the border due to unpaid duties, taxes, or other import charges, the package will be returned to Selden Mast Inc, USA. In this case, the customer will be responsible for the cost of the original outbound shipping and the cost of returning the package to us. Any refund issued for the order will be reduced by these shipping costs, in addition to any other amounts non-refundable under this policy.

6. Shipping Carrier

We use trusted carriers UPS, FedEx, and USPS for shipments within the USA and to Canada. For oversized or freight shipments, we work with specialized carriers to help ensure safe and secure delivery.

7. Order Tracking

Once your order has shipped, you will receive a shipping confirmation email containing your tracking number(s). You can use this number to track your order through the carrier's website. For Canada orders, tracking information may also reflect customs clearance status.

8. Lost, Stolen, or Damaged Shipments

Damaged Items

If your order arrives damaged, please notify us within 5 business days at ecom@seldenus.com with photos of the damage. We will assist in processing a claim with the carrier and arrange a replacement if necessary.

Lost or Stolen Packages

Once an order has shipped and the carrier has provided delivery confirmation, Selden Mast USA is not responsible for lost or stolen packages. Please ensure that you provide a secure shipping location. We recommend contacting the carrier directly for assistance if your package is lost or stolen.

9. Return Shipping

For information on how to return an item, please refer to our Returns Policy. Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer unless the return is due to an error on our part or a defective product. For Canada orders, customers are responsible for any customs-related costs, duties, or fees associated with returning a shipment, except where the return is due to an error on our part or a defective product.

10. Policy Updates

Selden Mast USA reserves the right to modify this shipping policy at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to our website.
