Compact ("Dyform") Wire with eye terminal, ø8 mm / 20200 mm for Furlex 200S

A Compact wire (Dyform) can be used for Furlex to achieve 5% less stretch than the standard 1x19 thread wire. 

The Compact wire kit includes a Sta-lok wedge that must be used for a safe installation. 

AISI 316 stainless steel.

The purpose of the plastic tube at the top end is to center the wire in the luff extrusion and prevent chafe between wire and top extrusion. This bearing is permanently fixed with a talurit. 

The newer Furlex models, of the 4th generation, has a purpose made top-guard and do not need the roller. 

Our recommendation is that the forestay wire is replaced after 20000 nautical miles.
