Electric Reversible Winch

The E40rev is a two-speed electric winch with true bi-directional operation – Forward for trimming and Reverse for controlled easing. With a simple push of a button, sheets, halyards, and control lines can be eased directly from the self-tailer, without removing the line. This greatly simplifies sail handling while significantly improving safety. By eliminating the need to touch loaded lines or the winch itself, the E40rev reduces the risk of injury and is  ideal for short-handed or single-handed sailing.

Based on Seldén’s proven S-series winch, the E40rev features the patented ART drum (Asymmetric Rib Technology), ensuring reliable grip and smooth self-tailing. Manual operation with a standard winch handle is always available in the event of power loss.

The handle can remain in the winch during powered forward operation, as it is mechanically isolated from the electric drive.

The integrated gearbox and motor pack are powered by Seldén’s 42V SEL-Bus system,  delivering efficient and dependable performance.
