Description

This composite car is used as an intermediate sail car between and below battens. A bushing on the shaft prevents chafe on the webbing.

The IWS car simplifies hoisting, reefing and dousing and is used for Seldén’s newest C-sections. The side load created by the full-batten is taken up by the wheels as the slider tilts to the side and a buffer bearing centers the slider in the groove. The mast groove and the car makes for a perfect match handling loads from all direction without any extra hardware fitted to the mast.
